This is an original composition for euphonium quartet. The title is a play on the word fanfare and euphonium, replacing all the “f”s in fanfare with “ph”s. It’s a modern-style fanfare with a syncopated bass line and interesting harmonic progressions. There’s a variation section in the middle that leads into a key change and into the roaring finale of the piece. It’s sure to be an exciting addition to any euphonium quartet performance!
