Progressions is an original composition that is basically a series of chord progressions playing around in different meters. I typically compose a piece of music and think about the title any time from when I’m almost done writing to several days after I finish writing, so “Progressions” seemed like a fitting title once I finished writing. Anywhere from the usual 4/4 and 3/4 to 5/8, 9/8, 8/8, and 3/8, this piece has it all. It starts out more like a fanfare and goes through several different themes and meters until finally closing with an exciting ending. This tuba euphonium composition is perfect for any small ensemble (one on a part) or any larger ensemble and would be the perfect addition to any low brass concert!
